Route Irish is the name of a movie of legendary director Ken Loach, who usually focuses on socially sensitive topics in his films. This time he has chosen the issue of the war in Iraq and its commercialization. Two former British soldiers does the business in the Middle East as purveyors of the U.S. military, but unfortunately, one of them accidentally dies. Thereafter this ignites the second inquiry and Fergus launches the investigation, whether a friend's death was not prepared in advance.
